20 days

dear oh dear. I have just come home from a spontaneous physical and have retrieved the golden health ticket that says I am well enough to live in Greece. I suppose the physical part should not have been spontaneous, since they needed to check me for STDs, the plague, and skin rashes of any kind, but I guess I kind of thought I could walk in and sit down and they'd be like, "girl is fine."

nope, they pap smeared me. figures. so now that I have this handy doctor's note that means I can apply for my student visa, the final culmination of the most laborious process known to collegiate man. Once I have that visa, I'm pretty sure nothing will ever be difficult for me to obtain ever again. a new kidney? no problem.

Colleen and Rafa are in Ireland. ho hum. I feel left out, it's weird, even though I only have to wait 20 days (and 4 or 5 of them will be spent at Dartmouth), it feels like an eternity. I have my luggage next to my bed, my notebook with all my visa stuff and my laptop down in the office, and I've been fanatically going over every detail of my life abroad every day for the past week.

so i'l probably update a few days before I go, while Ben does homework or something, and I'm bored. but now it's time for mac and cheese.
